Storikus 1: the English edition is the first of two textbooks in English for teaching History at secondary level. Different periods in Maltese history – from the Prehistoric Era to the arrival of the Arabs on the Maltese Islands – are tackled chronologically and presented holistically. This textbook includes ideas for tasks and activities intended to promote research and debate in class and beyond.
Each Unit also includes word banks, convenient recap points, fact boxes related to the subject at hand, brief character biographies from key historical periods, multiple choice texts, other exercises and questions, photos, illustrations, maps and timelines, together with ideas for further research and projects.
