Description
The Crown Daisy Patch was originally published in Maltese under the title Il-Kulur tal-Lellux. It won first place at the 2015 edition of the Literary Contest of Novels for Youth organised by the National Youth Agency.
If she only could, Amber would try to re-imagine a path full of crown daisies. This was a game she played with her mother, where they would try to escape the hustle and bustle of the apartment building they lived in. When her mum picked her final petal, Amber understood that the game was over and that she was now all alone.
The Start of a New Life
Amber couldn’t keep living with Rose in the apartment downstairs. When she moved in with Uncle Patrick’s family, she wished to escape to that crown daisy field. Instead, her imagination led her to Elizabeth, who was gong through a similar experience . . . albeit a few years back!
