Description
From the small island of Malta, the author puts together into this publication a diary of events of his forefathers, and faithful to its title: SHIPS, WINE AND WARS.
This account of a large family’s life, mixes with the turbulent wartime periods in the histories of Greece and Malta, and blends in with the family’s wine business, their ships, their Greek and Maltese Cultures and their varied other businesses around the Mediterranean, that the family once settled into.
It also describes the protagonist Giovanni Dacoutros as Malta’s largest ship owner, and largest wine importer and one of Malta’s top philanthropist of his times.
The author brings into this saga a rememberance of his family’s Greco-Maltese Diaspora, and the tragedies, successes, triumphs and histories of his family.
