Intermediate Pure Mathematics is a textbook introducing Pure Maths to the novice student. It prepares students to sit for Pure Mathematics examinations at Intermediate level of the MATSEC board in Malta or the equivalent of IAS level in the UK. It is also a good preparatoy course for the Science courses at the University or MCAST where some basic Mathematics is essential.
This book contains around 180 worked examples and 46 exercises to be worked out by students. Important key points and formulas are boxed to help the student memorise them. There are also 6 tests covering the whole book. Answers to all the exercises as well as to all the tests are given at the end of the book.
The authors of this textbook are both experienced Mathematics lecturers at Advanced level. They have done their utmost to present the mathematical content in a precise and concise from comprehensible to a beginner with a determination to succeed.
