Bank of Valletta has been privileged to host some of Malta’s leading artists over the past 13 years. The decision to dedicate this year’s annual exhibition to Richard England will add a prestigious name to the already impressive list.
The exhibitions form just one part of the Bank’s efforts to promote and showcase local talent. In this particular case, it is hard to know which of Richard England’s many talents should take precedence: his architecture, his sculpture, his drawings or his poetry. Each of these artistic genres is brought to life by his unique approach, where his emotion and passion perfectly complement technical calculation.
We are delighted to have on show a selection of works which encompass all of these areas, enabling the many people who will visit the exhibition over the coming weeks a glimpse into his multifaceted, award-winning talent.
Our support for local talent is by no means limited to art. BOV has one of the largest corporate social responsibility programmes in Malta and we are proud to be associated with everything from our rich heritage to enthusiastic sports, and from worthy social causes to sustainable environmental initiatives.
We do this because we are fully aware of the important part we play in the community, as a catalyst for economic growth, as a lifelong partner for our hundred of thousands of customers, as an exemplary employer and as a responsible investment for our 19,000 shareholders.
