Daniel Pisani
After graduating in computing and experiencing the corporate world, Daniel left office life behind to reconnect with his roots in the family food business. There, he quickly became disillusioned by how little food importers actually knew or cared about the food they sold.
Seeking something more meaningful, Daniel joined Vincentβs Eco Farm in Maltaβan experience that ignited his passion for local food, organic farming, and the changing rhythms of the land.
During the quiet of the 2020/21 lockdown, he began writing and self-published ππ‘π ππ₯ππ§π-πππ¬ππ πππ₯πππ¬π ππ’πππ‘ππ§, a celebration of traditional Maltese flavors through a modern, plant-based lens. Daniel also shot all the food photography for the book himself, capturing the beauty of seasonal produce and simple, honest cooking.
The book prompted him to leave the farm and travel across Mediterranean islands, immersing himself in regional food cultures while composing his second book. πππ§π’ππ₯ continues to explore the intersection of heritage, sustainability, and seasonal eating, bringing Mediterranean food stories to life through his writing, photography, and cooking.
