Ant Parker

Ant Parker is a bestselling illustrator of books, best known for the AMAZING MACHINES series (Macmillan), written by Tony Mitton, which has been published in a huge variety of formats. Titles include REMARKABLE ROBOTS, COLOSSAL CRANES, CLEAN GREEN MACHINES, and BIG BULLDOZERS.

Ant Parker is a British children’s book illustrator and author. He studied Visual Communications at the Bath Academy of Art, where he learned drawing, etching, bookbinding, printing, and even animation techniques, training that laid the foundation for his unique illustration style. Ant Parker illustrates books full-time. He spent years doing editorial illustration, teaching papermaking and bookbinding workshops, as well as gardening. His art is known for being bold, bright, and appealing to young readers, often with whimsical characters and eye-catching scenes.

His artwork features in many popular board books, picture books, and novelty formats designed for toddlers and early readers, often in collaboration with well-known children’s authors. His best works include the Charlie Chick series (with Nick Denchfield), fun picture and board books about a plucky little chick, the Amazing Machines series (with Tony Mitton), books that introduce young readers to vehicles and machines through vibrant art and engaging rhymes, 10 Little Monsters, a playful pop-up counting book, and JJ Rabbit and the Monster, part of the I Am Reading early reader range.
