Adrian Bradbury
Adrian Bradbury is a British author best known for writing engaging educational and children’s books, particularly within school reading schemes and phonics programmes. Born in Manchester, he began his career as a PE teacher before teaching English in schools across Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. Later, he returned to England to serve as a deputy headteacher in several schools. Drawing on his extensive experience in education, Bradbury has written a wide range of readers, and non‑fiction titles for young learners, including books about extreme sports, famous historical figures like Virginia Hall, and phonics storybooks designed to support early literacy. His work is characterised by clear, accessible prose tailored to developing readers, and he also enjoys writing humorous football‑themed books for children alongside his educational materials. He writes primarily educational and children’s books, often combining clear, engaging language with subjects that appeal to young readers, like sports, history, and adventure. His Extreme Sports book explores high-adrenaline activities while keeping the content accessible for younger audiences.
