Description
Women’ Welfare in Society reports findings from a national research study undertaken by professor Anthony-M. Abela for the Commission for the Advancement of Women. It examines the structures of major welfare organizations, main constraints and facilitating factors in the provision of welfare services for women in difficult circumstances. Existing services are confronted with the current actual needs of women in society. Special attention is given to disadvantaged groups including older women, women living in abusive relationships, lone mothers, unmarried mothers and separated women with or without dependent children.
