A Learn and Practice Journey into the Past
History helps us to understand who we are and where we come from.
This series of books aims at making history more accessible to pupils in Primary Schools and to promote the idea of ‘history from below’ among children – where it is not just the political events which take the centre stage, but more importantly, history is presented from a wider social perspective of everyday life and occurrences.
The children’s imagination and inquisitiveness are drawn upon in order to investigate past events and current issues. Full use is made of different experiences, media and materials which will allow the students to develop their knowledge more fully and to foster a critical approach to the subject.
