From giant steps to baby steps, some steps forward and a few backwards, some plain sailing and others an uphill struggle, steps from the journey of the people of Malta and Gozo, through a momentous century of their country’s long and colourful history. A century that brought a multitude of changes, possibly the most eventful of its 79 centuries, from the arrival of the first prehistoric inhabitants during the advent of the sixth millennium before Christ, until the turn of the 20th century after Christ.
