A translation and adaptation into English of a series of short humorous stories that narrate episodes in the life of an elderly, loving, yet frequently bickering couple. The background is Maltese village life in the early 1900’s, days of innocence and hardship, when I.T. still meant ‘It’ and a mouse meant a rodent. The stories unveil the rough diamond that was Malta.
The front cover depicts the entrance to Valletta in that period. As befits the event, the book offers a Touch of Humour as Malta celebrates Valletta 2018 European Capital of Culture.
