Beverly Joubert

Beverly Joubert is a Botswanan wildlife award-winning filmmaker and conservationist known for her work with elephants. Alongside her husband, Dereck Joubert, she authored the book ”Face to Face with Elephants,” which explores the complex social structures and witness first-hand their deepest emotions. 

Beverly and Dereck Joubert, get up close and personal with elephants of all sizes and through Beverly’s stunning photographs and Dereck’s engaging narration, readers can follow their intimate encounters with elephants, the plight of a trapped baby elephant, discover the compassion of these gentle giants, and learn about the threats they face when they come under attack from lions and from mankind.

The book encourages readers to learn how to help protect these majestic creatures. The Jouberts, National Geographic Explorers–in–Residence, whose work showcases their extraordinary lives in Africa, work tirelessly to save the planet, founding Great Plains Conservation and the Big Cats Initiative.
