Andrea Kaczmarek

Andrea Kaczmarek is a British author and children’s writer with a passion for science, learning and storytelling. Born in Wales, Andrea trained as a teacher in art and English and spent many years working with children before turning her attention to writing books and becoming a children’s author. She has written numerous stories and educational titles, including space‑themed adventure books that help young readers explore science with curiosity and imagination. She is best known for her Space Explorers series — including Maltese editions Ix‑Xemx (The Sun), Il‑Qamar (The Moon), L‑Istilel (The Stars) and Id‑Dinja (Earth).

This series follows a pair of young twins on fun, educational journeys through the solar system with their grandfather’s telescope. Through simple language and engaging narratives, her books help young readers learn about space and the natural world while enjoying imaginative adventures. Even in retirement, Andrea continues to write and support projects that encourage children to read, think and discover new things about the world around them.
