Alastair Chisholm
Alastair Chisholm is an award-winning Scottish children’s author, puzzle creator, and former computer programmer. He is widely recognised for writing imaginative science fiction, fantasy, and adventure stories that inspire young readers while exploring important contemporary issues. Before becoming a full-time writer, Chisholm published numerous books of Sudoku, Kakuro, and other logic puzzles, combining his passion for problem-solving with his talent for storytelling.
Chisholm is the author of several acclaimed novels, including Orion Lost, which was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize, and Adam-2, winner of Blackwell’s Children’s Book of the Year. He has also written the popular Dragon Storm series, the I Am Wolf books, and award-winning picture books such as Inch and Grub, which won both the Bookbug Picture Book Prize and the Queen’s Knickers Award. In Reek, Chisholm presents a gripping dystopian adventure set in a future where toxic pollution has made clean air a precious commodity controlled by a powerful corporation.
