Adrian Vassallo

Adrian Vassallo is a Maltese doctor, former Member of Parliament, and mathematics textbook co-author, best known in education for his contribution to the “KY Maths” series used in Maltese secondary schools. He graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Malta in 1979 and worked for many years as a family doctor in primary healthcare. Alongside his medical career, he also served as a medical director for sports organisations and remained active in community health work in Malta.

In politics, Vassallo was a Member of Parliament representing the Malta Labour Party, first elected in 1996 and serving multiple terms until his retirement from politics in 2013. During his time in Parliament, he was known for his focus on social and family-related issues. In education, he is one of the co-authors of the KY Maths series (along with Aaron J. Grech and others), a set of mathematics textbooks designed for Maltese secondary school students preparing for exams. The series provides structured explanations, worked examples, and practice exercises aligned with the Maltese curriculum.

Adrian Vassallo is known in Malta both as a medical professional and former politician, and in education for his role in producing widely used secondary-school mathematics resources.
