On the 7th of June 1919, four protesters were killed and others died just a few hours later. In collaboration with FĊN, Teatru Malta wanted to celebrate this anniversary with a fresh, contemporary take on the events that marked our history.
VII (Sette) reimagines the heroic events that took place during 1919’s Sette Giugno riots, through a visually spectacular original piece that told this historical story through contemporary music, making it one of the most sonically current and equally relatable performances in recent times.
Written in a combination of English, Maltese and Italian.
