BDL Books wishes to invite all educators for a 2-hour session about Maths Mastery with a focus on Journaling. During the session, a brief introduction will be given to Maths Mastery and the theories that underpin the approach.
Reference will be made to the Maths – No Problem! textbook scheme and the online platform. An evaluation of how this scheme is aligned with the Learning Outcomes Framework will be presented. Moreover, we shall also address how the lesson structure proposed by the scheme embraces the sound pedagogical theories which should underpin all mathematics teaching and learning. The focus will be placed on journaling in mathematics as an important element of the Maths Mastery approach. Different means of journaling will be presented.
At the end of the session Esmeralda Zerafa and Karen Vella will also launch the new Maths – Let’s Explore Journals for Year 1 pupils and the Maths – Let’s Explore ‘My First Scribbles’ which is now available for Kindergarten 2 children.
This session is suitable for Senior Leadership Team members, Teachers and LSEs working in primary school settings.
We are following the latest health advisory and we will advise should we need to cancel the event.
